About Us
As solid as our word. As steady as your revenues.
BanCal has been managing San Francisco properties with a vigilant commitment to property improvement and professional integrity since 1987. After ten highly successful years with the company, Tammy McNaught succeeded Baner as BanCal President in 2008. Since taking the reins, Tammy and her team have added 33 new properties to BanCal’s management roster and increased building revenues an average of 15% - 18%.

Tammy McNaught, President/Managing Member – BanCal Property Management Founder William Baner handed Tammy the reins in 2008, after she’d spent 10 years with the company honing the boutique approach that today accounts for its expansive success. A licensed broker with 15 years leasing and management expertise in San Francisco and a property owner in the city as well, she has plenty of first-hand experience with this unique real estate market.
When she’s not leading her team above and beyond the call for BanCal’s clientele, Tammy craves exploration and active traveling, from scootering in Uruguay to snowboarding in Tahoe. Her brain candy of choice is fantasy fiction like the Riftwar Saga--a favorite form of escapism.
William B. Baner, Founder-Emeritus – William began his career in Delray Beach, Florida with a focus on rehabilitation and management of single-family and multi-family residences. A position with Metro-Dyne of San Jose brought him to the West Coast, where for six years he served as Senior Vice President in charge of property acquisitions and partnership relations with more than 229 limited partners invested in multi-family properties across five states.
He founded BanCal Property Management in 1987 to target his expertise to the San Francisco market exclusively. Now retired from property management, he continues to consult for the firm—while indulging his love of sports cars at grand tour events and competitive races throughout the western states.
Michelle Antic, Leasing Agent - Michelle joined BanCal in 2009, bringing to the table more than twelve years of residential real estate marketing and sales experience in the Bay Area. In addition to managing campaigns for more than 75 properties, her experience extends to leasing, sales and escrow management and model home merchandising.
An avid international traveler and tracker of the San Francisco restaurant scene, she is also fascinated by architecture, design and construction. Her fantasy is to build a custom home one day.
Al Baba, Vice President of Maintenance – A BanCal stalwart since 1995, Al is responsible for oversight of all facility maintenance and operations for the firm. A licensed General Contractor with extensive experience in maintenance, renovation and construction management, he has supervised both residential and commercial properties throughout the greater Bay Area.
Although he enjoys construction so much he rarely feels the need to take a break, he makes a point of getting out of the city now and then to camp, fish and hunt.
Otgo Damdinsuren, Accountant – Otgo began her career in her native Mongolia, where she worked as an accountant and loan officer for one of the country’s largest banks. After moving to California, she earned her certification in Finance from UC Berkeley and gained another four years of accounting experience before joining BanCal in early 2011.
In addition to supervising the books at BanCal, Otgo also serves two days a week as the Mongolian Health Coordinator for Street Level Health Project, which offers health services to recent Bay Area immigrants.
Sandra Garson, Property Manager - A successful journalist whose management of her own East Coast properties eventually led her into professional property management, Sandra understands all sides of the business, especially homeowner expectations and needs. She has served as Board President of her condo association in Pacific Heights and lectured on property management. She holds a degree in politics and studied law as well as authoring two books.
Norman Ng, Property Manager – An authority on investment sales, consultation and valuation, Norman has helped many San Francisco property owners streamline costs to positively impact the bottom line. Since joining the BanCal team in 2010, he has trained his skill and eye for detail on assisting owners and tenants with smooth building operations.
When he’s not perfecting his barbeque technique (the secret is slow cooking with lots of smoke), he’s working on meeting the goal of visiting at least one new country each year.
Renee Leal, Office Manager – Since January 2009, Renee has been BanCal’s first contact for owners and tenants alike. Her enthusiasm and energy for that role are inspiring to the whole team, while her fresh ideas on streamlining our operations are both ingenious and practical.
Another avid traveler, Renee has her sights set on exploring more of the U.S. and adding names to her list of favorites alongside New Orleans and Memphis. On nights in, she’s a huge fan of Peter Sellars movies.
